Some users have implemented this themselves by having metrics that
correspond to events. For instance, you send a value of 1 for the metric
"events.fullmoon" whenever a full moon occurs, then in the graphs apply
the drawAsInfinite() function to them and they will be rendered as
vertical lines, indicating a point in time, and the text in this case is
the metric name.
That requires a bit of extra work, but is available today. In the future
I think we'll get this type of functionality implemented using client-
side graphing.
