The lineMode rendering flag may be what you're looking for. It can be found in
the composer interface in Graph Options. Try the "connected" mode. It will
basically connect the dots with lines.
Alternatively you might try the keepLastValue function. Any null values will
then keep the value of their previous point, filling in any holes in the graph
with horizontal lines.
