New question #193830 on Graphite:
https://answers.launchpad.net/graphite/+question/193830

Rather than have time on the x-axis with the value of something on the y-axis,
can Graphite plot a histogram that shows the distribution of values?

An example: lets say I record the age of every person entering my amusement
park along with a timestamp of when they entered.
Now, I want to see the distribution of ages for people who came during the week
Mon thru Fri. This would be a histogram with age along the x-axis and the
y-axis value would actually be "number of people of this particular age".

Can graphite make such plots - and if not currently, would it be possible to
extend graphite to be able to do that? Or is graphite not well suited to store
such information?

I might be interested in contributing to the effort to make these kinds of
plots.
