You'll be best off at the moment planning to switch to Ceres in the near
future. Ceres support is merged in here if you want to play with it:
http://github.com/mleinart/carbon/tree/graphite-megacarbon along with
some changes to how Carbon is configured. The webapp version in master
does support reading from it.
The merge of Carbon to trunk should be happening soon though and for
production I recommend that you wait until at least then. The webapp in
master support reading from both Whisper and Ceres files and there is
also a migration script to convert the format with no loss so the
upgrade path shouldnt be too hairy
