I tried 2 methods to feed data into graphite.
1)Java:-
Long curTimeInSec = System.currentTimeMillis() / 1000;
String msg = "foo.bar.bay 42 "+curTimeInSec+"\n";
Socket socket = new Socket("graphite.hs18.lan", 2003);
System.out.println(msg);
try { Writer writer = new
OutputStreamWriter(socket.getOutputStream());
writer.write(msg);
writer.flush();writer.close();
} finally { socket.close(); } }
So i am getting the tree structure as foo.bar.bay in the webapp.
But when i go to the directory /opt/graphite/storage/whisper i couldnt find the
"foo" directory in it.
2)i tried using the unix "nc" command on the localhost.Now i can see the
directory in /opt/graphite/storage/whisper folder.But not in the tree structure
in the webapp.
Can someone please help.
