Barry Adams confirmed that the question is solved:
I managed to solve this, the no attributes error was because the cairo
library wasn't imported. My could import the cairo library, but the
apache user couldn't hence the error. I had to change the library load
path, and have file mods so that the cairo library could be loaded from
python by the apache User. Then it started working.
