Pradeep Chhetri gave more information on the question: I tried to debug this issue by running netstat on one of the backend (carbon-cache running) grepping the connections making with the other server running carbon-cache. I found that sometimes its not making connection with the other carbon-cache box, even when the request is coming from some client.
