Does whisper-merge.py always overwrite? That is, does it always replace the sample in the target file, or does it only write empty cells? Second, does whisper-merge.py use the storage-schema and storage-aggregator rules? Does it accumulate (sum/min/max/average) high-definition samples into one low-definition sample when the target is a longer retention cell than the source?
