I had a similar problem. Finally realized:
1. You need to point your statsd to the carbon-aggregator.py port on
2023, NOT carbon-cache.py on 2003.
graphitePort: 2023 /*this is carbon-aggregator, carbon-cache is 2003*/
, graphiteHost: "172.16.78.131"
2. You need to restart statsd. Although the log says it dynamically reread it,
it does not seem to actually use the new graphitePort
21 Jun 10:17:32 - reading config file: ./mystatsdconf.js <=== do not
trust that this uses the new graphitePort
