molecularchaos gave more information on the question: More info: For a work around I downgraded: /usr/bin/pip-python install --upgrade graphite-web==0.9.10 And got it working. Upgraded again with: /usr/bin/pip-python install --upgrade graphite-web==0.9.11 and ran fine until I restarted apache.
