New question #247085 on Graphite:
https://answers.launchpad.net/graphite/+question/247085

Hi,

we want to run multiple carbon-cache instances which all use the same storage
without
a carbon-relay.

Instead carbon-relay we want to use a loadbalancer like haproxy using a
roundrobin algorithm.

Does this work?

The reason for this is that carbon-relay will distribute a given metric always
to the same
carbon-cache instance when using consistent-hashing. At least this is how i
understand carbon-relay
for now.

But that is not what we want. We want to evenly distribute all load over all
carbon-cache instances.

Greetings,
-timo
