No, it's not round-robin, it's consistent hashing - if you are using 
RELAY_METHOD = consistent-hashing, of course.
It uses hash of metric name to pick up some carbon-cache as destination, so, 
for many metric its like random, but some specific metric will hit specific 
carbon-cache every time.
