Michael,
some of my students reported problems with dbf connection using the
current (Sep. 21) version of winGRASS installer.
They had to go back to the previous installer from summer 09 that we
use in the class.
The issue is discussed on the users list. I need to catch up with
everything but I think it was fixed (?)
but it would require new installer to get it,

A student cannot see any attribute data in the datamanager module of
wxGUI, using Windows XP. She gets an error that the table cannot be
found regardless of the data set chosen.
Others using the same version of WinGRASS (AFAICT) have no problem
on XP machines.
