OK. Now I've discovered that the active configuration information for
GRASS 7 is no longer stored in the temporary file /tmp/grass.../gisrc.
So where did it go? It is clearly somewhere. This changed was probably
announced but I guess I missed it.
We have an application that needs to set this environment from outside
GRASS across multiple OS platforms.
