#693: wxGUI menus: i.ortho.photo locks up GUI ---------------------+------------------------------------------------------ Reporter: hamish | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: 6.4.0 Component: wxGUI | Version: svn-develbranch6 Resolution: | Keywords: i.ortho.photo Platform: All | Cpu: x86-64 ---------------------+------------------------------------------------------ Comment (by kyngchaos):
Which would you prefer: Terminal.app which supports drag-n-drop, tabs and text antialiasing, and appears in your Dock and application switcher (for easy access and identification), or xterm (none of those, though maybe antialiasing and tabs with the right options somewhere)? Sorry to be cheeky there. I think Mac users generally want things to look like they're running on a Mac, so the less X11 is used, the better. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Apple decided that starting X11 *always* needs an xterm, and disabling that behavior is not a simple option. I suppose I could add an optional script for installation to disable this... -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/693#comment:30> GRASS GIS <http://grass.osgeo.org>
