I just committed a lot of bug fixes for wxnviz in trunk. If anyone has time, it would be good to know if these work on other platforms. If so, I can backport to 6.5. In overview, the changes include:
display now updates when options are changed configuration now saves and loads correctly interface is more compact and starts up in the view page many misc. bug fixes I did not test any of these changes for volumes because AFAICT, there is no way to load a volume into wxnviz at this time.
