Except for the bug I mentioned above, this works fine for me when I open a
DEM from the Spearfish demo data.
If you'd like to try my build for OSX 10.6, you can download it at
<http://www.public.asu.edu/~cmbarton/files/grass_mac/OSX10.6-snowleopard/>.
I am using the most recent of William Kyngesburye's frameworks.
