maybe an issue with windows UAC (see [1],[2)]? UAC isn't present in WinXP, but Vista and a above. last year, creating a manifest [3] for everey module-exe was added in the wingrass-build process. a manifest tells the windows os how to proceed with an exe. just have a look in C:\OSGeo4W\apps\grass\grass-6.4.0\bin, everey xyz.exe is accompanied by an xyz.exe.manifest. let's try following on the Win7-plattform - after copying exe and dll in grass6.4.1svn/bin, just copy d.ask.exe.manifest and rename it to i.segment.exe.manifest. - open this file in an text editor and change every occurence of d.ask to i.segment. - try running i.segment in the wingrass-session. best regards Helmut [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Account_Control [2] http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709691%28WS.10%29.aspx [3] http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa375365%28v=vs.85%29.aspx ___________________________________________________________ Schon gehört?
