Since proj4 bug # 122 (http://trac.osgeo.org/proj/ticket/122) remains
open,
I would suggest to add a proj version test in wxGUI or GRASS itself and
pop up a warning for the user if proj is = 4.7.1 (which has not been
released
btw).
