Agreed.

This is reported in #306 and should be improved (or even fixed) by r52927,
maybe we need to change the default settings now.

Unfortunately, there is always some language with extreme word-length. But
yes, we can try to set the width e.g., for German, but, as I noted
earlier, I'm afraid that this will create too big layer manager window (I
think I've already tried).
