I agree.
I think the idea behind ''not'' having the "Copy" button there is that you
are not expected to use `d.*` commands in GUI and that novice users might
be confused by seeing command behind "adding of the layer".
However, `d.*` commands works in GUI (at least the ones available from
GUI), i.e. are usable in GUI command line, so "Copy" could be quite
advantageous for advanced users and also for saving (and sharing) commands
and perhaps even writing scripts.
