As I am going through the class instructions I am wondering whether the text
on the page from which the students download WinGRASS needs updates:
http://grass.osgeo.org/grass70/binary/mswindows/native/

specifically - do we still consider WinGRASS an experimental project? We have
been using it in courses for couple years now.
Also, is the binary still built on Windows Vista as indicated in the text?

There is also a link to
http://grasswiki.osgeo.org/wiki/WinGRASS_Current_Status
which mostly includes references to 6.4, so this may be confusing to users
installing GRASS7.
If this wiki page is not maintained perhaps the link should be removed.

Finally, the LOCATION that is provided with WinGRASS is called NORTH_CAROLINA
which is different from nc_spm_08 for GRASS6 and nc_spm_08_grass7 for GRASS7.
This is not a huge issue but users who may already have NORTH_CAROLINA from
previous installs
and skip downloading it for WinGRASS7 may be surprised that the vector data
don't work.
Should the name of this location be changed (preferably to nc_spm_08_grass7) to
indicate
that this is a different data set in terms of vector data format?

Thank you, Helena
