If there are no objections, I will backport it so that we can start to use
it in modules. We just have to agree on the default separator. We had some
discussion about it with Vaclav and Markus some time ago and one
underscore seems to be the best option. Double underscore can be confusing
with different fonts, it can look like one underscore. With one underscore
as a separator it might not be clear which underscore is the separator
when there are more of them, but we might not really need such
information.
