Too bad that nobody cared in the past 2 years but only now.
Well, that's the deadline effect Glynn already spoke about when
discussing the last-minute rush to harmonising option keys [1]. Not much
we can do about this I'm afraid, except maybe creating deadlines more
often ;-)
