tested with today's winGRASS daily: --- echo %GRASS_COMPRESSOR% BZIP2 r.mapcalc expression=checkcompression = elevation@PERMANENT / 2 r.compress -p map=checkcompression@checkbzip2 <checkcompression> is compressed (method 4: BZIP2).
