I think the first message is sufficient. I don't remember seeing 2 dialogs
in any other software. Especially when in this case the risk is fairly low
that something bad will happen.
Also, many times the lock is there because users didn't close GRASS
correctly and then this message doesn't make much sense.
Finally, if it's that important, why it's not implemented on Windows?
