Sorry, I was a bit quick and see that
{{{
v.distance -p -a from=hospitals to= hospitals upload=cat,dist
}}}
indeed produce duplicate columns
Also,
{{{
ERROR: Bug: attempt to update map which is not in current mapset
}}}
should not happen.
In addition, the resulting map also lacks an attribute table (which it
should have). In more detail, the attribute table is produced, but not
connected to the vector map...
Writing table-formated output from GRASS directy to the database is a
different issue, and might be useful in more modules...
