Thanks Markus. I read the RFC2 document and have no problem adhering the rules; I have no concerns with either version 2 or 3 of the GPL.
The one thing that is a bit unclear to me is if the GRASS PSC is moving toward an attribution agreement model given the mention of processes related to giving up copyright. In the immediate case that wouldn't present a problem for me but generally I prefer to retain copyright over my own work.
