So that is 2 weeks to acquire nominations and then a total of 3 weeks when voting members can review the information and vote?
Perhaps GRASS members are more prompt (or less busy) than the groups I've had experience with. Or perhaps giving a longer window encourages procrastination. In my experience (with an admittedly small sample of similar organizations), a couple weeks is pretty short to get a reasonable slate of nominees. People have to decide if they want to nominate themselves, think about the time they have available, etc. And to nominate others, someone needs to think about who to nominate, contact that person to get their OK, and then write up the nomination info. Likewise, we always have trouble getting enough people voting even with 2 weeks and repeated reminders. But it certainly can't stretch out too long. I don't know what is the best timing for GRASS. But having more time for nominations at least may open this up to more people. Because I knew that it was coming, I was able to think about it and get approval from the people I plan to nominate.
