Newly, our event fundraising is not separate from our general project fundraising, so the specific Community Meeting expenses are an example of how the money is used, rather than the only goal or ultimate target. The relationship to NumFOCUS is described on our completely renewed Sponsoring page [2] and I think it would be enough to just link to that (in other words, one doesn't need to understand all the nuances of NumFOCUS to create the posts).
