If you run 'make' in gui/wxpython/vdigit, you get two files 'grass6_wxvdigit.py' and '_grass6_wxvdigit.so'. Maybe you need to run 'make install' (depends on your installation procedure) or just copy these file to $GISBASE/etc/wxpython/vdigit manually.
