Hi Roy I'm not sure what your problem might be if other apps work correctly, but I can offer some encouragement that this all works properly with my system(s). Are you running the latest versions of nxnode, nxserver and nxclient? Try upgrading those apps if you can and while you're at it you might as well check that you are running the latest X server.
