Hello, I am following the book, "Open Source GIS: A GRASS GIS Approach 3rd Edition". In Chapter Four, page 63, there's an example of use of r.in.bin.
GRASS 6.3.0 (mync_ll):~/Download> r.in.bin NCETOPO2_4604.g98 out=ncetopo_2min bytes=2 north=38 south=32 east=-72 west=-85 r=180 c=390 When I tried this, there were error messages; WARNING: Bytes do not match File size WARNING: File Size 189372 ... Total Bytes 140400 WARNING: Try bytes=2 or adjusting input parameters I use Fedora 9, and the file was downloaded from http://skagit.meas.ncsu.edu/~helena/grasswork/grassbookdat07/ncexternal/NCETOPO2_4604.g98 This is the file information -rw-rw-r-- 1 Kuma Kuma 189372 2008-07-11 23:56 NCETOPO2_4604.g98 Any suggestion what I am doing wrong?
