Hi,
I've been searching a tool like 'ALLOCATE'(Idrisi) in GRASS, but I can't
find it. There is any kind of tool like that in GRASS? Which is the best
way to perform this kind of operation?
Allocate in Idrisi:
ALLOCATE performs spatial allocation based on a distance or
cost-distance image derived from DISTANCE, COST,
VARCOST or DISPERSE. For example, if the distance surface were
calculated from a set of health centers, ALLO-
CATE could be used to assign each cell to its nearest health center.
The final result of ALLOCATE would be an image
with identifiers indicating to which health center each cell is
assigned. The result from ALLOCATE is identical to that of
THIESSEN where simple Euclidean distance is used. However, if cost
distance is used, the result may be quite different.
