Thank you Markus. I am aware of all the technical details concerning CORINE. I have spend quite some time on it :-). The reason I wanted to stick with vector was for my latest tutorial (unfortunately in Greek) on how to build the vector map CORINE (initially for the whole of Europe but then only for Greece :-p). My tutorial is ready. Will be published in some days with the hope to attract more Greek-phones GIS users. [ Sorry for the sort-of off-topic: By the way, I still would like to have a response from the osgeo public geodata committee about hosting the ready-to-use Greek CORINE... that in case some committee insider is reading the current message. I will wait a bit more before bump-ing my posts in [email protected] [1] [2] ] However, you are right. I see (now) actually no reason for working with the vector version if it's about the whole of Europe to do some analysis. Thank you for your precious time.
