Can you post the contents of the g.gisenv.exe.stackdump file?
Here it is:
9888 [main] g.gisenv 3672 _cygtls::handle_exceptions: Exception:
STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
11805 [main] g.gisenv 3672 _cygtls::handle_exceptions: Error while
dumping state (probably corrupted stack)
Unfortunately that doesn't help.
I don't think that we will be able to make any progress on this until
someone who can reproduce it can get a backtrace out of gdb.
... which isn't that hard. If you need help, Luigi, let me know.
Is this the place to start from?

Is it a matter of trying compiling on Cygwin? I assume that gdb is the
debugger of gcc.
I remember threads on Cygwin compilation but I was not able to find them
on the mailing list archive. If somebody has a pointer to relevant
threads/resources, that would be appreciated.

Luigi
