r.stream.extract in grass-addons can now produce a complete flow direction map, needed by some of the other r.stream.* modules. All is needed is a flow accumulation map and the corresponding DEM, then all r.stream.* modules should work, also e.g. r.terraflow MFD output or TAS/Whitebox output.
