the standard way to copy & paste in UNIX (well, X11) is: copy: left-click drag to highlight the text paste: middle-click the mouse (press the scroll wheel)
maybe this works for MSys on MS Windows too.
(often ^C,^V can happen in a second buffer, and wx confuses the
two, but usually one of the two methods gets you there)
