As i mentioned earlier, Grass6.3 was working earlierwith my own mapsets -
but now is not. The only difference since then that i can remember is that I
installed Qgis, and started experimenting with postgresql an dpostgis as
well...i dont quite see if that could impact Grass runs..but am just
guessing here..

Martin, I tried your May 12 Grass 6.5 daily build.

I get the same error regarding g.region. When i try to run it from the
command line, it enters grass. but then i cant use d.mon, so i try gis.m and
at this point i get the same original error.

is this something to do with the gis manager? I tried to start with
wx-python gui but got a different error there.
