The WxPython GUI is the current, officially GRASS GUI and much more capable and complete than any other one. The only exception is 3D visualization, where it has not yet achieved the same feature set as good old NVIZ (but this is being worked on actively at the moment). QGIS also has a decent GUI interface for GRASS, but it has been developing much more slowly. It also exposes only some of GRASS' capabilities. Last time I checked (which was some months ago, so some things may have changed by now), it was missing support for: - voxel processing modules - imagery modules - 3D vector processing (due to QGIS' 2D vector model) - multiple input map modules (e.g. r.patch) So the QGIS GRASS interface is only an option if you can work without the above.
