Hi. My advice is to use linux. In particular, I use Ubuntu (Linux human:)). However GRASS runs well on wind but I think that using Linux has many more advantages. For example, through the repository every time there is an updated version of GRASS you can get it automatically. Morover (if I'm not mistaken) on the system wind is not exactly how it works on linux.
