Hi, I think this wiki is what I was looking for http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Using_Eclipse_to_develop_GRASS_Python_programs. But it is referencing grass 6.4.
I can try to replicate but I just had a feeling that grass 7 would be a little different as it has more python in its commands.
