for reference or reuse? for reference, see the graphic shown here: http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/Gis_Concepts#Map_projections for reuse, see v.mkgrid & Micha's post. each zone is 6 degrees wide, but beware of some deviations around Scandinavia. also, 80S to 84N, split at the equator.
