Thanks
for the link Martin.
I
did a bit of digging and found these instructions for adding thev.trees3D
add-on without usingĀ g.extension
http://les-ejk.cz/programs/?cat=gis
Installation
If
it is an tgzpackage, it is most probably the C-source code:
* Copy the file in the GRASS source directory to proper directory
(raster
modules in raster, vector in vectoretc.).
* Untar the archive with tar xzf modulename.tgz
* Go to the new module directory and run make:
cd modulename
make
* Go to the GRASS source directory and run make installfor
installing it.
Can
anyone tell me if these are still valid- I only ask because I don't
see separate directories for raster and vector modules in my install
(~usr/lib/Grass64/bin, GRASS version: 6.4.3RC2 on Ubuntu 12.04 precise)?
