I'm dealing with problems trying to extrude some buildings in Grass and present them with NViz, by taking the height as stored in an attribute of the vectors. The resulted 3d vectors do take the elevation value from the surface (trace is also used) but they don't get the height from the attribute.. Somehow the attribute value taken as height during the extrusion is ignored.. On the contrary, the extrusion based on a fixed height works just fine with the same data.. GRASS is used via the QGIS 1.8 environment on a Windows 7 platform. Images of the results are following: <http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/file/n5043483/extrude.jpg>
