After installing a new download of python 2.7.6 from
https://www.python.org/download/releases/ on the 10.7.5 Mac, I now have
working installations of GRASS-7.0beta2 and GRASS-7.1 development
release, downloaded from Michael Barton's site (both frameworks and
GRASS).

I have re-installed GRASS-7.0beta2 on the Mavericks Mac, it starts
without problems now, and the command line in Terminal now works; see

No idea what went wrong the first time. Will test the 10.7.5 Mac as
soon as I can.

Hope that's not the case. I built these for both 32 and 64 bit and

because there were no errors.

Hi,
I have been running GRASS 7.0 SVN (and frameworks) from Michael

site since Feruary on two Macs, MacOSX 10.7.5 and MacOSX
Mavericks, happily,
on a daily basis. Tried installing the GARSS 7.0beta2 package and
frameworks
on the 10.7.5 machine, installation succeeded, but I got this
message on
startup:

exit

Python 2.7.6 found.
arch: posix_spawnp: /opt/local/bin/pythonw2.7: Bad CPU type in

It looks like a 32bit versus 64bit (mixture) issue. Perhaps check
for that?
