Isn't ssh -X more secure? I think -Y might be needed on Mac OS X but -X is working fine (fine, not super fast) with GRASS GIS for me on Linux (Ubuntu). > Then start GRASS GIS 7 and the GUI will come up over ssh. > > Just tested with a server which is > 500km away from my home :-)
