I'm using r.sun to extract shadowed areas from a LIDAR derived DTM
for some date/hour combinations. (GRASS 7.2) According to the man
page: "A map of shadows can be extracted from the solar incidence angle map (incidout). Areas with zero values are shadowed." In my output incidout raster, there are never values of zero. The minimum incident angles are quite small, but no zeroes. However the NULL pixels seem to be exactly the shadowed areas. (I am comparing with ortho-photos taken at those specific dates and hours).
