Temp files are normally stored in the mapset (e.g. /grassdb/location/mapset/.tmp/YOURCOMPUTER/12345.0)
It can be partly controlled where tempfiles are stored using environment variables: https://grass.osgeo.org/grass74/manuals/variables.html https://grass.osgeo.org/grass74/manuals/g.gisenv.html Cheers Stefan -----Original Message----- From: grass-user <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Rich Shepard Sent: tirsdag 25. september 2018 22:49 To: [email protected] Subject: [GRASS-user] Using g.tempfile Running v.surf.tps stops after ~40% because it runs out of room to write a temp file. I assume that /tmp is the default directory for these files. The g.tempfile manual page wants a pid number. I can get this when I invoke the command, but not before. What's the recommended procedure for telling grass where to put temporary files prior to executing a running command?
