Are you a researcher looking to package your geoscience software or contribute 
to open-source projects? The Open GeoScience Hackathon at the Information 
Sciences Institute in Marina Del Rey, CA, will provide hands-on training in 
software packaging, documentation, testing, and publishing through package 
managers.

- When: May 28-30, 2025
- Where: Information Sciences Institute, Marina Del Rey, CA
- Who: Researchers interested in open-source geoscience software
- Topics: Contributing to open-source projects, packaging research software, 
unit testing, CI, and publishing packages

This hybrid event includes both synchronous and asynchronous components, with 
participants expected to submit a research software package or contribute to an 
open-source project. The asynchronous portion will run for 8-10 weeks after the 
workshop, supported by virtual office hours and the LeapFROGS online platform.

 Travel support is available for US-based participants!
